About Cliff Rice

Most people don’t plan to fail, they fail to plan! That’s one of my favorite quotes, and it has motivated me to create the company that I operate today. My name is Cliff Rice, and I am president of C.Rice Global.  We are a business consulting company that mainly provides recruiting and staffing services to automotive dealerships.  However, a big part of what I do is conduct sales and career development seminars which prepare job/career seekers for their new career.


I come from a large family (#9 out of 10 children) and despite that we were raised from the same two parents I saw my siblings become very different adults. Their levels of success range from one end of the spectrum to the other, therefore, I learned from a young age how essential planning for your future was in order to achieve success.

The value of planning came in handy when I entered the automotive industry, and realized that I could determine my paycheck based on how I chose to spend my time and prepare for each day. As a salesperson I came to work early each day, and set clear goals for myself. I also learned that having a positive attitude would be a very important tool. Armed with my positive attitude and daily agendas, I earned the Salesperson of the Year award my very first year in the business! This was achieved while competing against several “veterans.” My success as a salesperson was so consistent, that I was offered a management position. I climbed the ladder and worked in several management positions with Honda and Toyota dealerships.


Although I had been very successful in my positions, there was something in my professional career that was unfulfilled. In 2003 I met a sales trainer that invited me to work for a training company where I could help others find success in a sales career. This was just what I needed; an opportunity to share my passion for success! I began working with the training company and immediately put my positive attitude and perseverance to work. I quickly realized I had found that missing link in my career. I fell in love with motivating others, teaching them the power of a positive attitude, and showing them the importance of being prepared and setting goals. The material I was presenting in my training seminars became a hot commodity, and I was constantly in demand.

A few years later, I found myself looking for yet another challenge. With the counsel and guidance from several trusted colleagues I decided to take a huge leap of faith. I decided to start my own training company, and was open for business January 1, 2012. The road to operating my own company has been full of great pivotal moments where several relationships have been built and I was able to learn a lot about myself. I am well known in the training industry for my intense energy and ability to motivate others. I have had the pleasure of working with dealerships from every corner of this country (from New York to Hawaii), and have had the honor to help thousands of people find a new path to success.

My favorite part of what I do is hearing from people that attended my training seminars and listening to their success stories.
